May is month of Our Lady: perhaps consider taking time to pray the rosary daily or a decade of the rosary with your family. Or take a pilgrimage to Carfin Grotto, Scotland’s National Shrine to Our Lady of Lourdes. The Grotto welcomes 70,000 pilgrims annually from across the Globe. It’s almost on our doorstep, Parish of St Francis Xavier, Carfin near Motherwell.

Fresh Start—donations please
Fresh Start run a Pantry food store where families in need pay a weekly £3.50 subscription for £10 worth of groceries. It is used weekly by over 200 families in north Edinburgh. As part of your Lenten almsgiving,
please donate non perishable food e.g. tins of meat and fish, porridge oats and pasta, tea and coffee.
Led by Fr Frankie Mulgrew, this takes place at St Matthew’s, 36 Carnethie Street, Rosewell, EH24 9AT, on Friday 17 May at 7:00pm. Come and experience the healing power of Jesus. Event organised by New Dawn in Scotland Ministries.
This training is aimed at anyone who has a role within a parish setting, including clergy, pass keepers and volunteers. It takes place at The Gillis Centre, Edinburgh, on Tuesday 21 May. Confirm your attendance with your parish priest.

Kevock Choir annual Concert Saturday
25 May, 7.30pm, Nicolson Square Venue, Edinburgh

- Mary’s Meals, who provide school meals to over 2.4 million children every day, invite you to join their Pray in May campaign. During the month of May, dedicated to Our Lady, we invite you to join us in praying for the hungry children who rely on our life-changing school meals, and for all the children and families around the world who live in poverty.
