Choral Concert on 1 November

At St Cuthbert’s Parish Church on 1 November, The Edinburgh Singers will be performing Choral Beats, featuring the British premiere of “Adventus Domini Nostri Jesu Christi” by the great Slovenian composer Damijan Močnik.

This work is based on beautiful and haunting plain chant, but unusually also features lots of percussion (marimba, glockenspiel, vibraphone, thunder sheet, tubular bells, triangle, cymbals, wood blocks, tam tam, claves, crotals, timpani, and big bass drum!).

The concert also includes lyrical music by Dan Forrest and Henryk Górecki, and will provide an intriguing experience in the runup to Christmas. Tickets available from The Queen’s Hall”
